• Fiona Harris Head Coach

    Fiona Harris has been part of Basingstoke Synchronised Skating since it began over 25 years ago, firstly as a skater then assistant coach before taking over has head coach 10 years ago. At Basingstoke we have had National Champions in Novice, Junior, Senior and mixed age categories and have attended many international competitions as well as several Junior and Senior World Synchronised Skating Championships
    Nadia Smith

    Nadia Smith Coach

    Nadia began skating in 1988 at Basingstoke, when the rink opened, then joined her first synchro team, or Team Skate as it was known then at the age of 8, Since then she has been a part of the Synchronised skating squad at Basingstoke. She is a level 9 skater and a level 2 qualified coach, qualifying in 2010 and teach free and synchro. Her synchro life has taken her all over the world competing internationally for Great Britain, qualifying and representing GB in 4 World Synchronised Skating Championships with her senior team, Storm.
  • Imogen Martin Assistant Coach

    Imogen has represented Basingstoke Synchro, she was apart of team Storm who skated for GB at World Synchronised Skating Championships, and has now completed her coaching qualifications.
  • Ailsa Wiggans

    Ailsa Wiggins Teams & Club Welfare Manager

    Ailsa’s daughter has been in a Basingstoke team since 2014 and through this Ailsa has developed a love for synchronised skating and bling. She is responsible for safeguarding and for fundraising and can be found at the rink on Tuesdays before and during synchro, and on Saturday mornings.

    Responsible for all administration including welcoming new starters and ensuring they have completed the relevant forms, issued with kit and know where they should be and when. Advising Treasurer of new starters. Collecting competition and other fees. Chasing non-payment. Sending out communications on all club issues to the membership. Arranging AGMs and committee meetings. Manging teams during competitions and ensuring the competition kit gets to/from events. Supporting fundraising events. Point of contact for the club for all issues that fall outside the Coaches' remit. Acting as the point of contact for all Safeguarding issues and must have Safeguarding training.


  • Heather Eastman Club Chairperson
    Heather daughter has skated with our newest team Snowdrops since they formed in 2019, she can often be found watching rink side wrapped up in her blanket.

    Responsible for the governance of the Club. Liaison with other relevant bodies (e.g. other clubs at Basingstoke ice rink, NISA). Running the club meetings. Ensuring committee members are acting in the interests of the membership. Dealing with any club issues or complaints.



    Emma Husskison

    Emma Huskisson Committee/Club Secretary 

    Emma's daughter skates in both Snowstorm and Black Ice.

    Responsible for administration including sending out communications on all club issues to the membership. Arranging AGMs and committee meetings. Getting volunteers for fundraising events. Supporting the Treasurer in financial aspects.

  • Ashleigh Lowin Fundraising & Events

    Ashleigh has been skating for BSSC since 2014 she skates with Ice Age and has been apart of our Mixed Aged teams Ice Sensation and Black Ice.

    Responsible for writing funding requests and proposals to those with 'pots' of money. Liaising with any organisations that can help us financially. Ensuring any fundraising does not contradict with the club ethics and values. Supporting other fundraising activities organised by the fundraising team.

  • Alison Clark Wardrobe Manager

    Alison has been a part of BSSC for 7 years skating for our Ice Age Adult Team. As the Team Representative Alison is your go to person for anything you want raised at the committee meetings. She can be found at the rink on Tuesday evenings for the Adult Team practise or drinking tea at Saturday morning patch.

    Responsible for ensuring all kit is clean, repaired, fits the individual and looks good. Prepares all competition kit for all teams for all competitions. Advises the Coaches what kit we have as required and organising the costumes for the season ahead. Arranges and leads blinging/repairing sessions as required. Advises the committee if they feel some of the kit needs replacing. Washes all the competition costumes and tights and prepares them for competition.

  • Mike Hatcher Club Treasurer

    Mike has be apart of Ice Age since 2010 when the team was first formed.

    Managing all the financial aspects of the club. Creating annual financial statements for the AGM and answering any questions on this. Managing the income and expenditure advising the committee on the financial status of the club. Reconciliation of the bank accounts and advising the Team Manager/Secretary of any non-payments. Researching and arranging all the logistics for competitions. Organising insurance and NISA membership. Booking and paying for coaches, external coaches (e.g. for workshops), ice time and off ice venues. Ideally should have a professional finance background.



    Clare James  Design, Web and Social Media

    Clare has skated for our adult team Ice Age for 4 seasons. As our web and social media admin she works to keep the club present online across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as well as adding any clubs news to the website.

    Creation (as needed) and maintenance of the web presence for the club ensuring legislative and safeguarding compliance. Ensuring the information contained, including all the policies, are up to date and accurate. Advice on any IT issues to the committee. Putting up pictures in the gallery and development and use of social media. Also responsible for the Club Noticeboard.
